Liz Quilts is owned and operated by the artist Elizabeth (Liz) Schowalter of Kaneohe, Hawaii.  Liz uses a colorful array of fabrics to create original, contemporary, specialty quilts and muralettes.  Her signature style is a unique interpretation of "stained glass" quilting.  Each of Liz's pieces is a hand-stitched, one-of-a-kind work of art.  

Designs in the Kapa Kuiki Collection are inspiried by the beauty of the artist's island home at the base of the Ko'olau Mountains on the windward side of O'ahu.  While all Liz's muralettes do not depict images from this vantage point, they all reflect the vivid colors and deep serenity which surround her as she quilts.
